Sign-On Bonus
One-time cash payment for accepting an offer.
Definition
A sign-on bonus is a one-time payment, typically 10-25% of base salary, used to close the gap between your offer and your prior compensation or competing offer. Often subject to clawback if you leave within 1-2 years.
