Calculator Accuracy Disclaimer
What our salary, tax, cost-of-living, and career calculators can and cannot tell you.
Estimates, not exact figures
Every calculator on SalaryScopePro — including salary comparison, tax illustration, cost-of-living, negotiation, career projection, and benefits calculators — produces educational estimates. Outputs are derived from publicly available data and simplifying assumptions and should not be relied on as exact, employer-specific, or jurisdiction-specific figures.
Underlying assumptions
- Wage statistics from the U.S. BLS OEWS release and Canada Job Bank.
- Federal, state, and provincial tax brackets at the time of the most recent update.
- Average regional price parities and cost-of-living indices.
- Standard contribution limits, payroll taxes, and statutory deductions.
- Linear or rule-of-thumb projections where individual data is unavailable.
Limits
Our calculators do not account for, among other things:
- Employer-specific bonus, equity, or benefits structures
- Local municipal taxes, deductions, or credits unique to your situation
- Pre-existing tax positions, carry-forwards, or filing status nuances
- Pending legislation or mid-year rate changes
- Currency fluctuations beyond the noted reference rate
