Editorial Standards & Review Process
How SalaryScopePro researches, writes, reviews, fact-checks, and corrects every page on this platform.
Editorial independence
SalaryScopePro is independent. No employer, recruiter, agency, certifying body, or advertiser influences our rankings, scores, methodology, or article positioning. Sponsored content, when it exists, is labelled and segregated from editorial content.
Roles
- Research Editors — design study scope, select sources, and approve methodology before publication.
- Authors — draft long-form guides, occupation FAQs, and benchmark report narratives.
- Reviewers — independently verify numbers, citations, and methodology against source data.
- Fact-Checkers — re-derive every percentile, score, and forecast from raw inputs.
- Methodology Contributors — propose, refine, and publicly version our scoring frameworks.
Fact-checking workflow
- Every wage figure is rebuilt from BLS OEWS or Canada Job Bank wage tables.
- Every COL adjustment is recomputed from the SalaryScope COL index for that metro.
- Every score (Career Wealth, Workforce, Future Opportunity) is independently re-run from inputs.
- Every external claim is linked to a primary source — government, academic, or BLS.
- Every page is reviewed by at least one reviewer who did not author it.
Corrections policy
When we discover an error, we correct the page in place, add a dated correction note at the foot of the page, and — for material errors — republish the page with a fresh review pass. Contact our editorial team with any concern.
Author & reviewer profiles
Named author and reviewer profiles ship with each long-form guide. Profile pages disclose relevant credentials, prior experience, and any conflicts of interest. Architecture is in place; profiles are being progressively rolled out across the catalog.
